WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
Hypnotherapy is guided visual imagery, relaxation techniques and biofeedback exercises. It is reached through a state of highly focused concentration. Hypnotherapy allows us to access all of the information that is stored in the part of our mind that is known as the subconscious.
Our conscious minds make up only about 7% of our total mind capacity, which means that the other 93% of our minds are to be found within the subconscious. The subconscious mind can be a very powerful tool. It is our subconscious mind that keeps us breathing while we sleep. It keeps our hearts beating. It controls all of those delicate chemical balances that occur within our bodies which are necessary to our survival.
Many times our subconscious minds accept faulty programming. This faulty programming can lead to many problems in our lives. Hypnotherapy techniques can help us to reprogram ourselves.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A HYPNOTHERAPY SESSION?
You will sit in a comfortable recliner. The lighting will be soft, and gentle music will play. The therapist will speak to you quietly and give you suggestions about relaxation. You are free to choose to accept the suggestions or not at any time. You will reach a very peaceful state of mind. The therapist will ask your subconscious mind to let go of all of these issues:

You will feel very calm and relaxed, but your mind will probably become quite alert and focused. Your subconscious mind will then be asked to release the negative old programming and you will begin to develop positive new patterns.
WHY CHOOSE HYPNOTHERAPY?
All problems and conditions have at their root an underlying cause. The most efficient way to deal with a problem or negative condition is to get rid of that underlying cause. During a Hypnotherapy session, the subconscious mind is asked to find and release the underlying cause of the problem or condition.
Many times, that underlying cause is so small and trivial that one might never have imagined that it could be the cause of so much difficulty. Most of the time, it is not even necessary or beneficial for the client to consciously remember these negative experiences from the past.
Your subconscious mind has a complete record of everything that you have ever done and everything that has ever happened to you. When asked to let go of a certain issue by a trained and experienced therapist, your subconscious mind is usually quite ready and willing to do so immediately.
